MAPPING A NETWORK FOR tRURO

We have mapped the main cycle connections that we think are needed to make an effective base network

CURRENT CAMPAIGNS

1 Truro to Shortlanesend route

a) Extension of existing shared use path beyond Rosedale to Bishops Close.

b) Negotiating for path through Epithany House.

c) Improving access from Knights Hill junction to shared use path to Shortlanesend.

2  Truro Station Link 

To provide level access from the Coosebean route to the rear of the Station (avoiding foot bridge)

3  Newham Trail

a) Supporting ‘Truro Loops’ project  for surfacing  of the disused railway.

b) Creating a safe cycle access along Newham Road to the city centre.

4  Langarth 

a) Fully segregated cycle path along the proposed Northern Access Road

b) Promoting cycling as first choice for transport through good design.

c) Links connecting Langarth to city centre, Gloweth and Threemilestone, including a quiet lanes network.

5  St Agnes to Truro

New multi-use trail  (including  bridge at Chiverton) to link with the shared path at Threemilestone. See St Agnes to Truro page here

We are starting to map in detail routes into and through the city centre to ensure safe connections to key destinations (eg. work places, schools,shopping, surrounding villages).  If you have concerns about a particular route you take, or would like to take, please let us know.
